2' 'Sipat' Bagnall

'Sipat' Bagnall

2' Gauge (other gauges available)

Here we have the opportunity to own something a bit special and different to our usual model engineering norm.  A full size, (choice of gauges,... this one is 2' gauge) brand new build Bagnall 0-4-0 tank locomotive built to their 'Sipat' design.  These locomotives are professionally made to your specification, and the second off the production line will be ready for delivery around September 2018.  The photographs below show both the current demonstrator, 'Georgina' and a selection of build photographs both of Georgina and the next one currently in production.  Georgina was built to a gauge of 20", the one that we have here and currently available later this year is gauged as per the original at 2 foot.

Here we have included a selection of photographs to show the build process.  Some of the photos show Georgina, and others show the 2' gauge Sipat currently under construction in the workshops.  Hopefully the photos will give you a good idea of the quality of engineering that is at the core of these brand new locomotives.

The Marine boiler is of all modern construction, engineered and machined boiler plate, welded up by our pressure vessel coded welders and then fully hydraulically pressure tested to twice working pressure.

These few photos show the finished air running chassis from Georgina being tested on the 21"gauge North Bay Railway in Scarborough where she currently resides.

Then here a few more detailed photos of the finished article.

She can also be finished in the style of the Baguley locomotive 'Rishra' with side tanks if that's more to your liking.

And lastly of course a few little films of Georgina in action so that you can get a real idea of the size and power of the locomotive.
