Here we have a nicely presented 3 1/2" gauge Ffestiniog Railway Alco 2-6-2 'Mountaineer'. This is another really big model for 3 1/2" gauge. Like all the 2' gauge prototypes they scale down to a really big loco in any gauge, but in 3 1/2" the model works out a little bit bigger than a 5" gauge Simplex.
This is another engine that's come to us from a relatively local track, so we know it's been a good runner. Well looked after and competently made, she's fully ticketed and ready to play. There is a pair of injectors fitted and a hand pump in the bunker. Lubrication is mechanical on the right hand side running board. All in all a proper chunk of model this, that you can just take to the track and get on with enjoying.
