Here we have a virtually finished 3 1/2” gauge LMS 3F ‘Jinty’ project, made to LBSC’s published ‘Molly’ design. It’s a rebuild of a previously running loco, and is generally really nicely done. Certainly all the hard work is finished. Essentially it’s a plumbing, boiler cladding and paint job, although obviously with steam engines It’s never as predictably straight forward as you hope!
The boiler is tested and has certificates, (although obviously not current for the steam as it’s not quite ready for that yet), and the bottom end is competently machined and runs nicely on air. Hopefully the photos will give you a detailed idea about what’s there and what’s probably left to do.
