Here we have a nice old LBSC P V Baker. We've not had one of these in before. We did have a freelance 3 1/2" loco that definitely had it's roots in the design, but this is the first proper one, and we think it's rather a lovely little thing!
She's all ready to go, hydraulic certificated for the next 4 years and with a fresh annual steam cert. We've done a little work to her since the photos were taken, and she now sports an injector to compliment the axle pump and footplate mounted bypass valve, and the hand pump clearly visible in the cab.
Lubrication is mechanical, and there's easy access to both, one for each cylinder just behind the smokebox. This has been a well thought out little loco, and one that has clearly been built by a model engineer who wanted to run his loco as well as build it. Everything is nice and tight, and softly sprung, so we expect this one to tick round your club track beautifully, as she has done for the builder for many years before now.
