Here we have a 4" scale Foster Agricultural Traction Engine. This is pretty much a brand new engine, having only been run a few times at a couple of rellies to iron out the 'new engine' commissioning issues and make sure all's well and it's ready to play.
The boiler is a professional welded steel boiler from AJB, and we did the engines initial steam tests here at The Steam Workshop last year. Fitted with one of our 'Holroyd' injectors so you shouldn't have any issues there! More details to follow very shortly but for now have a good look at the photos and give us a bell if you'd like to know any more.
As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get!
We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
