Here we have a really cute little 5" gauge freelance saddle tank sporting the rarely found 'Bremme' valve gear. Bremme is a derivative of Hackworth that corrects some of the functionality errors present in the earlier gear, and it always looks attractive when running with the two vertical levers bobbing up and down.
The silver soldered copper boiler can of course come with fresh twice working pressure shell tests as well as a fresh steam test so that you know everything is working and sound. As you can see, some of the plumbing has been removed in the photos, but we will remake all of that, so the loco will have an axle pump with footplate mounted bypass valve as well as an injector fitted, which we can route to feed from either the saddle tank or a driving truck, to your preference. Lubrication is mechanical and on the running board.
As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get!
We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
