Here we have a complete kit for the GWR 14xx 0-4-2 tank. A good start has been made on the chassis, although the majority of the boxes and bags are still unopened. The professional boiler is likewise still boxed up just as delivered from the factory. The kit comes with the original drawings and assembly instructions, essentially everything that Modelworks originally supplied, ready for you to continue and sort out the build.
It's well known that there will be one or two things to sort out and tweak along the build, however, there have been a good number of 14xxs completed, and there are a great many out there running very well, so the bits and bobs that need modifying are well known. There is a lot of information out there to help a moderately competent engineer build this up into a nice little loco, and it's all available here for pretty much the price of the boiler!
