Here we have a well engineered and really nicely detailed 5" gauge GWR King. Full 4 cylinder and the subject of a recent overhaul where it received a brand new and exceptionally fine professional silver soldered copper boiler from Paul Tompkins at Southern Boiler Works. which of course comes as always fully tested and ready to run, as of course does the whole loco.
Some cracking detail on this model, with the machining work being extremely well done too, and certainly a cut above the average 5" King. Lubrication is mechanical, and there are a pair of injectors fitted as well as the usual hand p[ump in the tender.
As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get!
We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
