Here we have a nicely built and well detailed 5" gauge GWR King. The model is, as you would hope a full 4 cylinder machine, made to the Keith Wilson Kennions design. A relatively recent build having been completed in 2007, she has been a regular performer for her builder around his local track, but ultimately the model has become a little too heavy for him to comfortably lug around.
All the usual things that you'd expect to be there are. Twin injectors and of course the hand pump in the tender for the water. Originally built with steam operated draincocks, these have been replaced with a traditional footplate lever operated set recently as the originals had proved to be tricky to get performing perfectly. Lubrication is displacement fed, and there is a nice triple sight feed on the footplate. The center feeding the inside two cylinders and the outside being fed by their respective others. This is a reliable performer, and an all round impressive machine,..... Kings are always crowd pleasers whenever you run them.
