Here we have a 5" gauge LNER B1, to the well proven Springbok design by Martin Evans. A competently made and ready to roll example with a professionally made Swindon copper, silver soldered boiler on it.
Model engineering wise she's not too bad at all. Certainly not a new model as you can tell by the odd bit of scruffy paintwork, but competently made and the general wear and tear level isn't too bad,...... certainly she runs nicely and will be very happy flying round your track for many years to come.
Fitted with an injector, and axle pump with footplate mounted bypass valve as well as the obligatory hand pump in the tender. Lubrication is mechanical and very easy to access on the running boards. All in all an easy engine to run. As with most Springboks this is potentially a great engine for you to just be able to enjoy driving without having to worry too much about scratching it!
