Currently in the workshop having it's final 'tweaks' is this rather lovely brand new LNER L1 2-6-4 tank. Recently completed to a high standard, this is a rare, brand new and powerful thing. The quality of model engineering is first rate, the machining work being particularly neat. The little clip here of her running for the first time gives you the general idea, but we will of course take and upload a nice bunch of photographs as soon as the little jobs have been completed and she is back together and ready to go. This is a little clip of the model on it's first steaming to find out exactly what needed sorting out to complete the build. Obviously this is wearing the original and horrendous lining tape, which has now all gone, and indeed the body has been back to bare metal for a full re-spray.
