5" Peckett 'Lee Moor'

Here we have one from my (Simon) personal collection. A silver medal winning 5" gauge works drawings model of the 4' 3" gauge Lee Moor Tramway's little Peckett No. 2. We had a few lovely days shunting in the sun with this little loco, and the videos are included below to give you the idea. It's a cracking little thing for shunting a yard in the GL5 world.

The silver soldered copper boiler can of course come freshly tested both hydraulically and on steam. Lubrication is mechanical and there is an injector fitted as well as an axle pump and footplate mounted bypass valve.

Cosmetically there are areas where it's been touched up as the paint has suffered a little over the years, and the lining too has come away in places. A fairly easy thing to smarten up and it certainly doesn't detract too much from the overall appearance. Mechanically everything is tight and really nicely made,..... and ultimately it's not actually done a great deal of running as it's a pretty diminutive little thing.

All in all though a reluctant sale (we've really kept far too many to every be able to use!), and a very pretty and unique little loco with a great model engineering pedigree.
