Here we have a well executed 5" gauge bogie, narrow gauge riding truck. I's notionally of American design, being liveried up as Denver & Rio Grande, but it's certainly the kind of 'look' that wouldn't be out of place behind most 5" Narrow gauge British prototypes as well. The Leek & Manifold had very similar wagons, and certainly in preservation most railways utilise very similar designs behind everything from Quarry Hunslets to Garretts!
The bogies are well machined and free rolling on roller bearings, and the wooden body is solidly constructed and in good condition. Cosmetically it's a little scruffy after years of garage storage, but we think it ought to scrub up nicely or indeed press it straight back into service immediately.
