Here we have a brilliant little rake of 8 7 1/4" gauge Penrhyn slate wagons. All scratch built and of wooden construction with sprung commercial roller bearing plummer blocks. They are ride on with retractable foot rests and each has a removable soft seat. They are all very free rolling as you'd expect, and when they arrived with us a couple had a bit of rot in them, so we've replaced the poor bits and given them a fresh coat of red 'Penryhn' paint so they are all tidy and good to go!
As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get!
We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
