Here we have a selection of photos showing some of our weathered (unusually for live steam models) locomotives. We think it really makes a model look like the real thing. The 37 was done particularly expertly by Mike, and we hope to shortly have a whole page dedicated to the model so that you can see the detail of the lovely model as well as of course the weathering.
Weathering is virtually the norm in the smaller electric 'model railway' scales, and can't understand why it doesn't occur far more in the larger models, particularly live steam.
